Whether you are drawn to faith formation, seminary support, Catholic education, or parish outreach, we offer meaningful ways to make a difference today and for generations to come.

Our Funds and Impact

Explore the type of funds we steward and learn about options for your gift to ensure it makes a real impact.

Owned and Open Funds - Funds that are owned and managed by the Catholic Foundation of Southern MN. We fundraise, grow, and grant these funds in accordance with their intent.
Owned and Closed Funds - Funds that are owned and administered by the Catholic Foundation of Southern Minnesota. They are designed as endowments and do not seek to raise additional funds.
Open Managed (Agency) Funds - Funds owned by a beneficiary Catholic organization where we are currently accepting donations.
Closed Managed (Agency) Funds - Funds owned by parishes and other Catholic organizations. We steward these gifts following Catholic values in order to protect and grow their assets. Please contact us if you’re interested in opening your own fund.

Christ the Teacher Fund

The Christ the Teacher Fund sustains Catholic education by providing resources that enhance teaching, learning, and student formation across our schools.

Ann Loomis Fund

To provide hope by assisting the most vulnerable children to obtain an education and bring the most basic necessities of shelter, food, clothing, and medical care to the elderly and widowed poor.

Coming Soon - Community Needs Funds

We anticipate anticipating adding one to three additional owned funds in the coming years as our Foundation Board completes a strategic planning exercise. Learn more about how we’re listening and adapting to changing needs of the people of Southern Minnesota on our blog.

Seminarian Education Fund

This annual appeal supports the formation and education of all Diocese of Winona-Rochester seminarians preparing for priesthood. The Diocese of Winona-Rochester now facilitates this annual campaign internally, however you are still able to give here if that is more convenient for you.

Hearts on Fire Fund

The annual Hearts on Fire campaign was created to help support seminarian students at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary. Grants from this fund help with educational and living expenses so students can discern and prepare for a life of priestly service.

Heart of Mary Convent Campaign

The Immaculate Heart Convent is currently undergoing renovations to expand and improve its facilities. Part of this project includes creating a space for gatherings and community events, and adding additional bedrooms for current, visiting, and hopefully future Sisters. Your support goes a long way to helping the Sisters continue their valuable mission for years to come.

The Seeds of Faith Fund supports three vital areas:

Tuition Assistance – Helps families afford Catholic education.
Faith Formation – Strengthens programs that deepen faith across all ages.
Clergy Formation – Supports education and formation for those called to serve.
